Are Ikea Butcher Block Countertops Good. We almost got IKEA butcher block countertops. I also am getting butcher block counter tops from Ikea & after much research found that mineral oil is the best choice!

About once a year we give them a light sanding and seal them with Ikea's countertop oil. If your setup allows, this is the affordable way to go. I went over all the counter top options, quartz, marble, etc.

Choose from butcher block countertops in oak, beech or ash and laminate countertops that are pre-cut to various sizes.

I'll plan to do that if it ever starts to look rough and dry.

This was a fairly easy and inexpensive remodel and a big upgrade from the old formica that came with the house. It used to be solid wood from top to bottom. I think butcher block counters look so good with white cabinets which is what mine will be when I redo my kitchen.
