Just about anything will work to thin industrial enamel. Has anyone used Rustoleum Countertop Paint? - I'm one of those odd-bods who's not necessarily a fan of granite. ;-) Have you used Rustoleum's Countertop Paint? I'd seen the Rustoleum Countertop Transformations Kit at my local hardware store, and I was super curious to try painting laminate countertops.

I have sprayed a lot of Rustoleum and have found that thinning with xylene works the best for large sections and panels, it drys a bit slower than acetone but much As stated, Xylene is a good reducer for industrial enamel, (Rustoleum).

I consulted with my friends at Rust-Oleum, and they confirmed that this laminate furniture surface would accept the paint just like a laminate kitchen. If your countertops are laminate, but not post-form, you can re-laminate them fairly easily, and that will do a much better job than this paint. IMHO, Ace Hardware paint is more resistant to chips and scuffs than RustOleum.
