Can anyone recommend a specific brand of stuff to putty over some chip-outs in the edge banding of some older formica countertops? My UGLY formica countertops were just SCREAMING for an Ambush Makeover! Often, the edges of a countertop are the more vulnerable spot for chipping or damage.

I found metal banding to complete the retro look, but I'm wondering if I've bitten off more.and where on earth does this banding go?
