Soapstone Countertop Sealer. Soapstone is a nonporous stone and sealers will not penetrate it and therefore will not bond as effectively. Soapstone is a very dense, nonporous stone which does not need to be sealed.

Soapstone (staetite) is a naturally occurring metamorphic rock made up of mineral deposits created by nature and quarried from the earth. Rub in circular motion Soapstone Sealer & Wood Wax thinly over the surface with a soft cloth (our favorite is the inside of an old sock).
Soapstone doesn't require a chemical sealer.
We recommend using a mild dish detergent and water.
Nothing needs to be done to make soapstone beautiful since nature has taken care of this all on its own. We would absolutely recommend soapstone and Soapstone Werks to our friends. Soapstone is an inert material and impervious to chemicals, acids and heat — so there are no household products that will Soapstone Countertop Care.
